CHENGDU PANDAS

Well we bused and flew from Yangshuo to Chengdu where the giant pandas are. There are 4 million people living in the inner city 88 million in the enitre province so you can imagine how much traffic and people on bikes there are. We had a Hot Pot meal where we all had to wear aprons and we all dipped our meat and vegies in a fondue type pot of boiling hot chilli or a tomato hot type of dip. There were little peppercorn things floating around that most of us ate accidentally - our tongues were numb for ages - again ice cold beers washed it down. The next day we went off to view the giant Pandas, the environment was open and green with plenty of food for them. Of course, the tourists are bused in and out like swarms of flies. These Pandas look very fat, very happy and very content.
