OCTOPUS
Well we are finally off today on our 3 week Grand China Trip through mainland China.
The 4 nights we have spent together here in Honkers has been really good. We are adept at getting the subway trains, trams, buses and definitely by foot. The night markets, day markets, beaches, and shops in Hong Kong has seen us going from Kowloon where we are staying, underground across the river to Hong Kong Island, Lantau Island where the airport is, Repulse Bay for a day at the beach, Aberdeen for a junk cruise at night and back again to Stanley Markets (they closed just after we got there) and last night for a local meal at the Temple Street night markets. We have certainly had a great time here. Our Octopus card which has a $50 refundable deposit got us around the place so simply. We are now waiting to board our train from Shenzhen to Guilin then bus it to Yangshou. When we get to Yangsuo we are bike tripping around as well as a boat trip.
............More news when I can get to an internet probably in Yangshou.
