From Terracotta to Tea !

We flew from X'ian to Hangzhou where we spent 2 days exploring this wonderful region. We had a boat ride on the Westlake area in the middle of the city - associated with many famous emporers, pets and painters and picturesque scenery. The people love to spend time at this lake where they walk, picnic dance, sing and float on the lake and visit the surrounding tiny islands around this lake.

The next day we travelled out to the tea growing region of Dragon Well or Longjing which is a village ot the south west where we found a farmer's wife who made us freshly grown green tea and a lovely lunch conjured up in her own kitchen (I would never dream of entertaining 12 people at short notice). We purchased some of her tea and she walked us back to the road where we met her. Lovely day and beautiful memories. Photo of the guys clowning around at Westlake and us having lunch at Hangzhou.
