View of the sleeping arrangements for the Australians, Americans, Dutch, New Zealanders and Thai slave workers - 2 ft of space to sleep in on rough bamboo with hession over top. Extremely sad to see what the Japanese soldiers did to these men in 1943 (crushing their hands with a hammer because they were exhausted and making them hold heavy rocks above their heads for hours if they stole food to survive) all this to build rail access from Singapore through Thailand.
