ARE WE IN THE RIGHT PLACE?

Imagine how we felt driving to our Hotel amongst the worst garbage strike in the history of Kathmandu. There was garbage piling up on every street corner. We thought what have we gotten ourselves into. Fresh food markets on the footpaths were adjacent to rotting garbage and every now and then we would see a cow sitting on the top of it eating whatever he could find. None of us spoke about it but we all thought 'Whoops' are we in the right place? Notice that it is only compulsory for the drivers of the motorbikes to wear helmets - the passengers obviously aren't important and don't need a helmet. The penalty for hitting a cow is like hitting a human and the penalty for hitting a chicken is 500 rupies. Marg and I have decided that reincarnation as a cow in Nelpal wouldn't be bad as they get treated like Gods.
