YANGHSUO

Chan Chan told us that Yanghsuo was 'party town' - when we drove in on the bus it looked anything but 'party town' but were we wrong. We've had a therapeutic massage, bartered in the markets, and last night I was dancing down West Street playing a flute with a local flute player with a rose between my teeth (hard to do). We've been on a 4 hour pushbike ride through local villages where we had to dodge large rocks;mud; bullocks; and babies in baskets on the shoulders of the local women. (the ride was somewhere between BMX/mountain biking and the Sarina Mud Trials) finishing with a walk up Moon Hill (I only went 3/4 moon because I was exhausted and couldn't do the entire trip) local women walked with us fanning us all the way and trying to sell us local water in used bottles, postcards and books.
